Celebrating the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Poland and Japan.
University of the Arts Poznań and Adam Mickiewicz Institute present group exhibition CELEBRATION -Japanese-Polish Contemporary Art Exhibition- by 21 artists from both Poland and Japan.

Born in Kyoto in 1947. Graduated from Waseda University, Tokyo in 1972. Curator of The National Museum of Art, Osaka, from 1976 to 1991. Visiting curator of Whitney Museum in 1986. Japanese Commissioner of Biennale di Venezia in 1990 and 1993. Professor at Tama Art University from 1991 to 2005. Artistic Director of Yokohama Triennale in 2001.
Visiting scholar at Columbia University and UC Berkeley University from 2002 to 2003.
Director of The National Museum of Art, Osaka, from 2005 to 2011. Artistic Director of Aich Triennale in 2010. President of Kyoto City University of Arts from 2011 to 2015. Pesident of Tama Art University from 2015. As a poet, received Rekitei new poet prize, Jun Takami prize and Sakutaro Hagiwara prize.
