Brian Kavanaugh has played a lead role in building and running Supported Studio programs (sustained creative environments that foster and support the individual practice of visual artists with disabilities) in the United States since 2006. Most notably, ArtsWork at Autism Services, Inc. in Buffalo NY, and Friendship Circle Soul Studio in the Metro Detroit area in Michigan. Mr. Kavanaugh is also an artist and curator who received his B.F.A. from SUNY Purchase College in 2005 and his M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2013. Mr. Kavanaugh is currently a Fulbright Research Scholar based in Bucharest, Romania with a focus on Art Education.
