Its aim is to present creators – designers and graphic studios who explore the new areas of graphic design, 2d, and 3d animation while creating outstanding works in their field, often in cooperation with global media giants such as Netflix, HBO or BBC.

Among the invited speakers we will be happy to welcome Alessandro Durando from the Italian studio Nerdo awarded the Digital Design Award for animation promoting the Netflix series House of Paper. The Polish duo of animators Katarzyna Kijek and Przemysław Adamski, will present the new BBC2 opening. Associated with the award-winning studio Oficina from Prague, Vit Zemcik and finally Uniforma studio from Poznan, represented by Michał Mierzwa and Maciej Mach, winners of the “Project of the Year 2019” award granted by the Graphic Designers Association. However, this is not all, information about the next guests will appear soon. And there is a lot to wait for.

The first edition of the conference refers to the slogan MOTION CHANGES DESIGN. It focuses on those areas of modern graphic design in which motion – animation plays a new, often key role. The medium revolution touches the classic graphic forms, such as a poster, illustration, visual identification, and in the case of new areas – designing computer games or graphic interfaces, changes to build a new graphic language. Contemporary language and design tools also affect classic forms of animation, e.g. intros for movies and series. Speakers from around the world will discuss and show examples of how animation and graphic design affect each other.

At the same time, other fascinating artists will present their case studies stressing the input of technology companies they work with. The 3d software – Cinema 4D will be represented by Mathias Zabiegly, an expert VFX specialist and creator of 3d animation for the legendary Felix Baumgartner’s jump from the stratosphere and his associate, Glen Frey.

Michal Mike Jelinek, concept designer from Wacom who worked on Terminator: Dark Fate, will introduce the graphic designer tablets and their abilities. This section will also feature the legendary figure of After Effects, Jerzy Drozda aka Maltaannon, Adobe’s collaborator. As part of Creative Hours, they will conduct workshops on the issues discussed.
