Mikołaj Poliński
born in 1977 in Poznań.
In the years 1996–2001 he studied at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań and the Universität der Künste in Berlin. He runs the 16th Drawing Studio at the University of Arts in Poznań. A draftsman, painter, creator of spatial arrangements built from drawings (paintings), objects and architectural elements, sometimes he interferes with the matter of the place where he works, he is absorbed by the borderline of visual arts and music. Since 2003, he has been running the Nawła gallery (UAP) and has been involved in curatorial projects; at Galeria Miejska Arsenał in Poznań (he co-led the program of the Aneks Gallery), Haus am Lützowplatz in Berlin and Contemporary Art Museum Ise in Japan. Scholarship holder of DAAD in Berlin and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
