On the Edge is the slogan, the inspiration for sculptural works, ceramics and various spatial forms. It refers to everything that surrounds us and in many respects determines us, while stimulating artistic vision. It is a commentary on climatic and political events or a reference to personal experiences.

The exhibition is a cyclical event that has been held in Szczecin since 2016.

The eighth edition is new because it was designed as a traveling exhibition. The inauguration took place in Szczecin and further on the exhibition will visit the following academic centers: Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan, the Faculty of Art of Adam Mickiewicz University in Kalisz, Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. The finissage will take place in Gdansk.

For the first time, the works of professional artists will be joined by an award-winning student’s work, which was selected in the national On the Edge competition, organized by the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin.

24 sculptors and ceramicists representing creative scientific communities from Szczecin, Poznan, Kalisz, Wroclaw, Katowice, Lodz, Torun and Gdansk were invited to participate. The main goal of the project is to present the achievements of artists from various academic circles from Poland, deepen cooperation in the field of culture and confront technical and technological solutions in the discipline of art and conservation of works of art.
