We invite you to visit the international exhibition of student figurative drawing Figurama 24, accompanied by two special exhibitions!

Figurama is an international review of figurative works by students of art schools; the program’s exhibitions are dominated by drawing, but painting, sculpture and multimedia are also shown.

The homeland and main organizer of Figurama is the Czech Republic. Figurama was founded in 2001 on the initiative of the Czech educators: prof. Boris Jirku and prof. Karel Pokorny, who organized a collective exhibition of their students’ works. What was initially a random event turned into an annual international project.

Figurama has been held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Rectors of universities participating in the program many times.

The University of the Arts Poznan joined Figurama in 2009. Since then, as part of the program, several hundred Poznan students have presented their works at several dozen international exhibitions, including in Prague, Bratislava, Brussels, Pilzno, Poznan, Kutna Hora, Banská Bystrica, Litomyśl, Wrocław , Seoul, Ostrava…. Students of the Poznan university have won the Egon Schiele Figurama awards for the best drawing many times. Last year, this award was won by a student of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan, Maria Gryczewska.

Several dozen lecturers from our university also cooperated with Figurama and showed their works at Altelerie exhibitions accompanying Figurama.

Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan organized Figurama exhibitions in Poznan in 2009, 2014 and 2017. This year we will host Figurama in the capital of Greater Poland once again. We will open the multi-threaded exhibition, carried out in several places, on March 27, 2024.
