The presented works are diploma projects completed at the Piotr Potworowski State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznan, which has been educating artistically talented youth for almost eighty years, co-creating the Poznan artistic community. Currently, students are educated in two fields of study – graphic design and space design and artistic subjects – drawing and painting, sculpture, basics of photography and film.

The summary of education at the higher school of fine arts  is the completion of a diploma thesis, which allows you to obtain a professional title. The diploma exam, which takes place in April – after the end of educational classes and before the high school final exam – consists of three stages. The practical part corresponds to the specialization taught and is the development of a project of one of three topics to choose from, the second part is a work from an individually selected artistic field – painting, drawing, sculpture. The theoretical part is an oral examination in art history. Higher school of fine arts graduates continue their education primarily in art and design studies, but also in many other fields of higher education in the country and around the world.

This exhibition is a selection of the most interesting projects presented to the diploma examination committee this year. Diploma theses in design specializations were completed under the supervision of the teachers Ms. Mariola Pieprzyk and Ms. Ludmiła Kaźmierska. The part of the diploma, which is a presentation of the selected artistic field, was completed under the supervision of teachers Mr. Wawrzyniec Reichstein and Mr. Dawid Puszyński. The students were prepared for the diploma exam in art history by Ms. Maria Zielonacka and Ms. Agata Maciejewska.
