The exhibition presents posters by contemporary female designers from various countries, highlighting their exceptional work. It aims to showcase the achievements of female poster artists whose designs and personal stories provide undeniable proof of women’s strength and power. This exhibition offers a journey through different techniques, styles, and design methods, emphasizing how poster design, as a medium and a way of thinking, teaches sensitivity to both the creator and the viewer. Due to its synthetic and metaphorical approach to the world around us, it broadens the scope for meaningful discussion.
The chosen opening date – March 8, International Women’s Day – is intentional. This day serves as an opportunity to celebrate women, but it also raises an important question: Should the awareness of our uniqueness only come once a year, or should it be acknowledged every day? This exhibition aims to highlight that a woman’s self-confidence is a powerful force in itself, one that doesn’t require annual reassurances, such as receiving a bouquet of flowers.
The diversity of styles and forms showcased reflects the richness of each artist’s individuality. Behind each poster is a story, demonstrating that nothing is impossible for women. These works are a testament to female strength, which we hope will be seen as an obvious truth – one that doesn’t need to be proven repeatedly. The exhibition also provides a space for the free exchange of ideas and thoughts. It contributes to the ongoing discussion of women’s roles in art, and offers a chance to feel the tremendous energy flowing from the posters and the personalities of the artists themselves.
