Art That Is Not Silent is an artistic polyphony concerning the world around us. The invited people point to the socio-political threats of today’s complex reality. The title of the exhibition refers to Andrzej Turowski’s book-manifesto Art That Arouses Disquiet. In both cases, it is about engagement and the social embedding of artistic activities, but the pressures and tensions are distributed differently. The works in Curators’Lab focus on issues, education and expanding awareness, not necessarily provoking or outraging. They show that speaking out takes place in many different ways through various media.
The presentation accompanies the Seminar of the Academic Network of Security and Equality.
