Organizer: Faculty of Image and Interdisciplinary Activities of UAP

We invite you to participate in the events taking place as part of the Image Festival. The main element of the Festival program is the nationwide painting competition New Image / New Look.

The works of the competition finalists are presented in the Słodownia +1 Gallery in Stary Browar, and on May 10, during the finissage of the exhibition, the results of the Competition will be announced.

The competition is accompanied by exhibitions, lectures and guided tours, as well as musical events and a panel discussion!

May, 8 (Thursday)

• 12:00 —Traces of reality — lecture by prof. dr hab. Andrzej Maciej Łubowski — Atrium UAP (20, 23 Lutego Str.)
• 14:30 —  The tissue of chaos, the structures of illusion — opening of the solo exhibition of Izabela Grudzińska — curators: Natalia Brzezińska, Magdalena Kasprzak — Kraska Art Gallery (Library of the Faculty of Biology UAM, 6 Uniwersytetu Poznańskiego Str.)
• 17:00 — FLASH — guided tour of the exhibition for people studying in the WOiDI studios — curators: dr hab. Natalia Wegner, prof UAP; dr Jakub Malinowski — Gallery Duża Scena UAP (24 Wodna Str.)
• 18:00 — Presentation of Jakub Staniak’s mural, AR work of students from the 3D Drawing studio (coordinator: Piotr Koźniewski) and a painting by Julia Nidecka at the OK-NO Gallery (curator: dr Adam Gillert) — UAP, building F (16 Szewska Str.)
• 18:30 — Suit – Mateusz Drozdowski’s solo exhibition – curator: Monika Szczygieł – Pyramida Gallery  (64 Garbary Str.)
• 19:30 — Image Festival in the 3rd Side of the Bar – student exhibition, live painting (Filip Starosta), DJ-set (Kajetan Ostrowski) — curator: Diuna Ostrowski — 3rd Side of the Bar (65 Garbary Str.)

• 16:00 — From Vermilion to CMYK — opening of the exhibition of teachers from the Faculty of Image and Interdisciplinary Activities — curators: dr hab. Monika Korona, prof. • 12:00 — Premiere of the conversation between prof. dr hab. Janusz Marciniak and the Pod Ciśnieniem Collective on Radio UAP — online
• 17:00 — From a Young Perspective to the Painting of Tomorrow – a panel discussion accompanying the exhibition of the 14th edition of the New Image / New Look competition – hosted by dr Karolina Rosiejka  — Gallery Słodownia +1, Stary Browar (42 Półwiejska Str.)
• 19:00 — Finissage of the competition exhibition of the 14th edition of the New Image / New Look competition and the awards ceremony — Gallery Słodownia +1, Stary Browar (42 Półwiejska Str.)
• 21:00 — Fear of being blown in the mouth – a musical event as part of the exhibition Vampires Will Never Hurt You – the space of the former Art Branch of the Raczyński Library (15 Wroniecka Str.)
