The exhibition “Na pamiežžach” (“On the Borderlands”) emerges from the concept of border territories (pamiežža), full of tension and pressure, where Belarusian identity is shaped. This state of being “in-between” teaches the art of survival and the practice of borderland solidarity.

The art presented in the exhibition is confronting the fractures in the geopolitical space: the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, forced migration or reaches older events, the trace of which is still felt today.

“Na pamiežžach” creates a space to draw attention to the complex structures of modernity—a space where border art becomes both a testimony and a tool for critical reflection on the fate of individuals and communities at the intersection of cultures, languages, and political systems in Central and Eastern Europe.
