Success of a graduate of the Set Design program at the University of the Arts Poznan in a nationwide scenography competition

On Friday, March 13, 2026, the award ceremony for the 5th edition of the competition Best Set Design Diplomas of Art Universities 2026 took place at the Henryk Tomaszewski Theatre Museum in Wrocław.

We are proud to announce that the third prize, awarded ex aequo, was won by Rozalia Schwarz, a graduate of the Set Design program at the Faculty of Interior Architecture and Set Design of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan. Her awarded project, “Cabinet of Faces,” inspired by the short story “The Debutante” by Leonora Carrington, was highly praised by the competition jury.

The supervisor of the awarded project was Prof. Piotr Tetlak.

The jury recognized the project for: “its thoughtful design and consistent realization of a coherent world that strongly stimulates the imagination.”

The award is an important confirmation of the high standard of education and the quality of diploma projects in the Set Design program.
