The aim of education in the Studio is to develop an individual method by the student – a design and analytical procedure as a process of conscious creation identical to design and other types of design activity. A process determined by the student’s individual characteristics, such as: sensitivity, intellectual level and developed ability to understand construction issues. We assume that after completing the course in our studio, students will be equipped with knowledge that will make them creative personalities, capable of building a new reality, understanding its essence and equipping them with tools to navigate among various media, means of expression and technology. Architecture – as it can be defined – is the art of organizing space and giving it a function by means of construction, thought and material. The above factors also overlap with the historical, cultural and economic layers. Getting to know the above assumptions of the presented definition and understanding them through an analytical and design exercise is to activate a set of skills necessary to understand the surrounding material space.
