In Lithography Studio we pay a particular attention to the sensibility of perception – through the teaching of a particular printmaking craftsmanship as well as conceptual and theoretical background. Apart from gaining technical skills, a student shall learn how to combine and associate different graphic arts techniques. The starting point for discussion and creating a graphic work will be one of 10 topics a student choose to work on during the semester.
Students throughout their practice in the studio learn more and more advanced techniques, such as lava techniques, stone lithography, etching (aquaforte), negative printing. Mastering the skills is a way to create individual artistic expression, which is a result of student’s craftsmanship, consultations and discussions with a professor, reading proposed literature positions and one’s own artistic decisions.
