THE GLIMPSE OF WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE A PART OF OUR CREATIVE STUDENT COMMUNITY:

Our new Faculty of Image and Interdisciplinary Practices (Wydział Obrazu I Działań Interdyscyplinarnych WOiDI) offers studies in the painting, drawing studios and the interdisciplinary activities in laboratories, like conservatory practices, paper laboratory, unique tapestry laboratory. There are the possibilities of graduation in the painting field.

TRADITIONAL AND INNOVATIVE SCIENCE METHODS will enable you to acquire the skills to understand and communicate reality, which is the key knowledge and experience necessary to function independently after graduation. Our Faculty’s mission is to equip young people with the competencies that enable them to work in both: fine arts and related fields: painting, light, sound, mapping, 3D drawing/painting, VR, and AI activities.  As educators and artists, we meet the dynamic economic and sociological changes within art studies.

Conservation, laboratories of Paper practices, and Unique Tapestry practices, impart specific skills important for independent living options.  

We have extensively developed research programs, international, inter-universities, and inter-departmental Pathways of exchange programs. WOiDI’s wide range of studios includes practical and theoretical classes. Assigned and created by tutors of this particular department WOiDI didacticisms nationwide art events: Painting Competition ‘New Image / New Look’, a recognized prestigious event. The Faculty of WOiDI runs The ‘Szewska 19’ Gallery, an experimental space for both: artists and students. It hosts workshops led by Visiting Professors and meetings devoted to discourse on art in a broad context. The rich research potential of the tutors and students, together with collaborating institutions in the country and abroad (e.g. in the Czech Republic, UK, Germany, Spain, Japan, China, Uruguay, etc.), as well as cooperation with national and international partners, the established university exchanges of diversity and Pathways, give to students an experience which is so much more than studying. It is a life-changing experience. With growing in confidence, young people, meet new friends and live in a global creative culture, auditing own value.
