Location: building F / room 20

The studio’s program offers students a wide spectrum of exploration of painting as a language of visual expression. What is most important to us is stimulating and shaping the imagination, which conditions all creation and accompanying students on the way to building their own artistic language. Both of these aspects are indispensably related to the acquisition of manual skills. The studio’s program is therefore constructed on the basis of both study tasks, such as still life, nude or landscape (especially for first-year students) and slogan topics proposed by the teachers, as well as based on the students’ own concepts. Moreover, one of the tasks carried out in the studio throughout the academic year is the analysis of various aspects of folk culture through the prism of art. Each year the topic is about a different region. What is very important, we care about the individual approach of students to the issue related to folk culture. Therefore, the analysis is supported each time by its earlier exploration (presentations, lectures, etc.), as well as research in a given area as part of joint, studio plein-airs. People studying in the studio can get acquainted with a variety of painting techniques. They are also supported in their own, also experimental searches, regardless of the painting medium and interests. What is very important, we focus on the individual development of students and students, while emphasizing that the studio is a common space for creative work for people studying at all faculties of UAP.
