Head of Studio: prof. dr hab. Karolina Komasa
Location: building A / room 111
The program of the studio oscillates between activities embedded in the context of a specific situation/place, called site specific, and interactive activities. Students, especially those who have already acquired skills related to modelling, building, constructing objects/sculptures, can, indeed should, in the next step, experience the study of the space in which they function and in which they program the existence of the sculptural objects they create. It is the contexts that create meanings, therefore the relationship of the object with the environment, both physical and cultural, requires special awareness, a sense of scale, material and form, sensitivity to the attributes of space and its impact.
