Health insurance

Students from the European Union or European Economic Area are asked to issue the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) before arrival to Poland. EHIC allows to obtain free medical help in case of emergency.

International students from outside the European Union should have private insurance that covers emergency medical treatment.

Accommodation

We offer accommodation at the Student Dormitory no. 6 of Poznan University of Technology – Św. Rocha 11B, 61–142 Poznan.

We kindly inform that UAP students need to submit an application in order to apply for accommodation in the dormitory.

ATTENTION: The final application deadlines for the academic year 2024/2025 are as follows:

· for current UAP students: until June 14, 2024
· for individuals who have passed the entrance exam and have been admitted: until August 20, 2024

Mentoring Programme for Exchange Students

We encourage all incoming students to join our Mentoring Programme to get to know our school and city more easily.  Exchange student will be contacted with one of UAP’s volunteers who are willing to help foreigners during their first weeks in Poznań. They will show you the way to a proper room in one of our University’s six buidings, help you get to know Polish culture and settle in Poznań.

Incoming students who are interested in joining the programme are asked to notify about it UAP International Saff via email erasmus@uap.edu.pl

Student Card

Each exchange student will receive UAP student card, which will give you an access to our University’s facilities such as library, printery, equipment rental or just can work as a pass to our studios after working hours. This card will give you also a 50% discount in a public transport in Poznań and intercity trains in Poland (but only if you are under 26 years old). Moreover, many cultural institutions like museums, theaters or cinemas and restaurants offer lower prices for students.

To issue such card for you we will need your full-color ID picture (digital), size 236x295px. International Office Staff will ask you to deliver your photos by mail before the beggining of each semester.

Public Transport in Poznań

Public transport in the city of Poznań is organized by Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego (ZTM) – Urban Transport Authority. Trams are the core of the system – most of lines go with a frequency of 10 minutes. Bus lines play a complementary role to the tram network.
