Brian Kavanaugh | Facilitating Artists That Absorb the World Differently Than Me Open Lecture 14.01 (Tuesday), 6 p.m. Atrium UAP, building B 23 Lutego 20 street Brian Kavanaugh has played a lead role in building and running Supported Studio programs (sustained creative environments that foster and support the individual practice of visual artists with disabilities) in the United States since 2006. Most notably, ArtsWork at Autism Services, Inc. in Buffalo NY, and Friendship Circle Soul Studio in the Metro Detroit area in Michigan. The exhibition will consist of processed video recordings of two objects reovered from the fjord located in the cental Norway. Recovered – a natural stone and a styrofoam, despite their extremely different origin, were treated by the same power of nature. The long-lasting treatment smoothed their surfaces out and rounded ther edges off. Both objects were finally transferred to the virtual or digital reality. All three dimensions were determined and then saved in the “cloud of points” by a computer programme.
